BEAUTY BITS, REVIEW

First Impression: Real Techniques – “Core Collection”

Finally, finally, FINALLY! I’m now the lucky owner of some Real Techniques brushes, and I’m so happy and excited.

I’ve been following the Pixiwoo Sisters for a looong time now, and I’ve always loved their videos. So, of course, I wanted to try these brushes by Sam Chapman (One of the sisters)

Easter came, and so did pay day. I quickly went on Look Fantastic to look and buy some brushes. One of the things I love about this site is the Free Worldwide Delivery and you get a little sample with your parcel, YES!

Let’s get going with my first impression.

REAL TECHNIQUES – Core Collection Β£20: You get 4 brushes as seen on the pictures and listed below and the quality of the brushes is amazing. They are really soft and seem easy to work with. Plus, I adore the design.

I decided to buy The Core Collection because of the Buffing- and Detailer Brush. I want to use the buffing brush to apply my liquid foundation as I feel that it will work the foundation flawlessly into the skin. I want to use the Detailer Brush for applying lipstick, as I need a good lip brush.

Contour Brush: Delicately applies highlighter to contour or create sheer, soft-focus finish.
Pointed Foundation Brush: Use with liquid foundation to build costum coverage.
Detailer Brush: Precision cut to effortlessly conceal problem areas; or, use with lipstick for long-lasting shape and definition.
Buffing Brush: Ideal for full coverage application of powder and mineral foundation.

I love that Real Techniques have made three brush sets, that comes with a Panoramic Case which can be used as both a brush-case-bag and as a stand, see picture 4, 6 and 7. These cases also have extra room for other brushes, as you can se on picture 5, and since you can buy single RT brushes, there will be perfect room to put them there. Plus, the extra room is perfect for other brushes too πŸ˜‰

OVERALL, my first impression is really great and I’m definitely going to do a review when I’ve tried them out!

Have you tried any of the Real Techniques brushes? What did you think? What are some of your favourite brushes? Let me now in the comments below πŸ™‚

Have a nice day

I am a complete real techniques fan, I have tonnes of them & I absolutely love them πŸ™‚ I use the bufing brush every day for foundation and I've adopted the detailer brush as my brow brush, the rest all go into rotation & I prefer using them for different products πŸ™‚

Hey have you thought about getting the new duo set? Oz doesn't stock them and the cheapest place I found was iherb.com (coupon code: ZEH931 for $5/$10 off). But yeh let me know what you think!

I'm glad you like the brushes! I've got all the RT brushes and can seriously vouch for them, a year on they still look and feel brand new πŸ™‚ The small foundation brush is really good for concealer by the way!
